Maastricht has excellent train connections, both national and international. Every 30 minutes there is an intercity train connection from and to Eindhoven (1 hour travel), Utrecht (2 hours travel) and Amsterdam (2½ hours travel). Frequently there are connections from and to Liège (Belgium), Brussels (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany) where you can change to international trains – Thalys, TGV, Eurostar – to London, Paris and other European cities. IMPORTANT UPDATE : The National Railway NS will close down the Amsterdam South Station May 26-29 2019.
For EAS participants travelling from Amsterdam the total travelling time from Amsterdam to Maastricht will increase by 15/20 minutes. You may want to consider travelling through Amsterdam Central Station.
Maastricht is easily accessible through various highways: E25/A2 (Amsterdam-Luxembourg), E40 (Cologne-Brussels), E42 (Liège-Paris), E314 (Maastricht-Aachen).
